Pink, is that all you ever see? 

Is that all we could ever be?

Ever think what pink is to us?

Assumptions, shades and society made?

Identity, colour and individuals caged?

Prejudice, tones and choices thrown?

We cannot help but feel 

We are more than just pink!

F*CK PINK!

Who cheated us of a spectrum of expression?

The galaxies of character left unchartered

The roaring fires of identity left extinguished  

For us girls, for us women, for us ladies 

There is so much more

To us, to what we want, to who we are

We are all the colours of courage

We are all the shades of strength

We are all the tones of tolerance

We are the brilliance of every kind of beauty

We don’t ask for unbroken boulevards of green lights

We’re too busy riding the emergencies of life 

We salsa dance between the raindrops of self-doubt 

We hit hard, touch softly and feel strongly

We enrapture our wild hearts with even bigger dreams

We colour our lives with the chaos of life

A generation of goal diggers 

We keep on keeping on

All day long and far beyond

We are the women managing it all. 

We are the Ladies of The House.
