Words written for an artist acting as a brand positioning piece. The brief was to illustrate the artist as a welcoming, compassionate ‘light warrior’ and a force for good in this world. 

WELCOME HOME, WARRIOR.

Be proud and worry not, for you have fulfilled great duty with even greater honour.

Leave lands of Trial and Treachery behind,

Release scorched shield and wrangled armour

For there are no enemies here.

There are no more battles to fight,

No more wars to wage.

It is time to rest.

It is time to breathe,

To float high upon these fresh winds of fate, 

For you are now home.

A home, for you, that I crafted with my own fair hands,

Stroke by stroke. 

Piece by piece.

Painting by painting.

I offer it to you and all the warrior hearts

Who, like me, were in need of sweet Respite,

In need of a new world; of Connection, of Truth, of Warmth and Light.

A world where what has come before is of no consequence,

Where your presence, not your past, is the only marker.

Step into Peace and Possibility and do not tread softly,

Do away with Caution and embrace the Carefree,

Let Happiness’s soothing sunny beams bathe your weary soul,

Let your scars be kissed by Compassion’s tender lips,

Let your darkest depths become the source of your brightest Beauty

For here you are safe,

Here you are seen,

Here you are loved,

For here you are home.
