What A Week
Words written as a thank you letter to the angels in earth suits, Russ and Yoshi. A stellar week of double birthday celebrations upon high in the most outrageous villa in Ibiza with the most amazing group of humans.
Words read out in the temple at Sabina, Ibiza, August 2020.
*Krankel was the name of the supreme being that was the Captain of the boat, Rocket.
A week of so much love and magic embraced
A week of wonderful souls and sunsets chased
A week of old friends and new friends,
Too much fun to even comprehend,
A week of dazzling lovers in bloom,
A week that has come to end far too soon
We’ve ridden on rockets and sailed through skies
We’ve disco’d with a Krankel and continued to fly
Housed upon high within a great white bastion of fiesta
We’ve been nothing but blessed,
Covid free and even managed a siesta!
And the nights,
Oh how we raged so hard in to such good nights
Mysteries of the world, secrets of the universe
All were explored, exploded and traversed
But, my, oh my, how we have been blessed
By the Russhimi shooting star on its lovers quest,
Opening up arms, and hearts and homes,
The world it’s oyster, Turkey next it shall roam!
For me, nothing but an absolute privilege it has been,
An honour, to be surrounded by so much love, by such a team
But now as things draw to a close,
We could be tempted to let sadness show
But such brilliant memories that burn and rave so bright
Can only be cherished, treasured, used to warm and delight
May they charge us, stir us, rally us to re-unite,
So that once again we may rage so hard into such good nights.
